Tamarind Tree

Looked in to my watch
I knew, I gotta be late
Not moved a bit to rush
No energy to make up

Eyes kept watching
Traffic running around
Found myself standing
like dead man in the town

I wish you could see me
counting pebbles on road
'n flowers on every door
On my way to our alleyway

Musty me, lost and tired
giving you sense of pride
you were just so right
no you, just body no soul

That's the way you testified
Nice that you stayed alive
I had to leave for your smile
Only one could have survived

I am mute, though watching you
standing next to Tamarind tree
When you find earrings missing
Search on boughs in Spring
